This is a lesson plan about the effects of climate change. My group and I created this lesson plan to relate a current topic with project based learning. Project based learning is when students gain knowledge from an extended investigable topic, question, and so on that they are to respond to. The resources linked in this lesson plan were all created by us and intended to for the students to use. The lesson plan can be useful to future classrooms because it integrates content standards and technology standards. I am proud of this lesson plan because I think it brings an important issue to light while also encouraging students to get creative with their solution to reversing climate change.

This lesson plan was all about the importance of digital citizenship, specifically online presence and reliable sources. During the lesson, we planned on having third graders search for themselves online and then research their favorite celebrities in groups. Using celebrities is a great way to grab the attention of the students and ensure they will learn about these topics in a entertaining way. We also created a board game for the students to play to learn more about the topics at hand. This lesson plan is useful for future classrooms because it allows students to get involved and learn about topics without having to listen to a teacher lecture.
This lesson plan integrates story writing, algorithms, and the use of technology in the classroom. For this lesson plan, students are instructed to create a short five page story with a plot, a climax, resolution, and ending. They are then instructed to animate their story through Scratch. During this lesson they will learn about algorithms and coding, while getting an opportunity to be creative and create their own story. This Smore flyer is one of the first things I created for my fictional future classroom. This is something I would hand out for my future students and parents so they will be informed about my school and classroom's Open House activities. I also included a video about back to school jitters that students can access so if they're feeling nervous about the start of school. At the bottom there is a QR code for parents so they can pull it up on their phones or computers at home to have more direct access to the information. The website allows you to create informational flyers to give to your future students.
The Hour of Code badge was very interesting to do. it created an interest in STEM that I would think would be very helpful in my future classroom. It was also very nice that to complete the Hour of Code Badge there were several options of games to play to complete it, allowing students to choose from a variety of subjects and topics. The variety will definitely allow the students to be engaged for the full hour and build a basis of code.
